We as organizations frequently seek the"best way" to practice GitOps, the right repo structures, etc., and often we end up crafting highly opinionated approaches with good intentions like easing the burden on developers. However, it can quickly become a roadblock against scaling up the adoption. It's crucial to understand developers' diverse needs and empower them to embrace GitOps while taking the complexity away from them..but striking the right balance in this regard can be challenging. By sharing our experiences gained from collaborating with various organizations and the open practices we use to discover the expectations and needs, we would like to assist others in overcoming the hurdles they face while scaling their GitOps adoption as well. This talk is not just about our journey; it's about empowering people grappling with GitOps adoption challenges, ultimately fostering a more vibrant and adaptable GitOps community within their organization.
